Grim Dylan are a punk rock and roll/grunge/riot grrrl trio from the Midlands, UK. In The 4 years the band has been together they have released two EPs, one of which 'Holy Sh*t! It's Grim Dylan' is free to download from Reverbnation and Facebook. They've toured the length of the country and their songs have gone further with 4 top 5 hits in Japan, including a number one on Tokyo's Number 1 Radio station Inter FM, as well as airplay in Europe and across America. Their debut album Cyclone was released in December 2014 and the first single Seasick was premiered on the world famous KROQ radio after legendary DJ Rodney Bingenheimer played it on his show. In recent months it has received rave reviews after airplay via BBC introducing and 6 music in the UK.


Why is feminism important to you?

Feminism is a word that means a lot of different things to different people. We're lucky where we are that a lot of our feminist battles have already been fought and won.
Feminism is so important, world wide, because unbelievably in 2015 there are still some places where women can't vote, can't go to school, can't wear certain clothes, can't even protect themselves....it's insane. We talk about feminism here in the UK and we want equal pay, to be taken as seriously as men in sport, music, politics, work and so on.
It also still needs defending, some people don't see the need for feminism, don't understand feminism and it's almost become a dirty word by people who probably don't even think that we don't deserve equality but have this misinterpretation that we're all man hating, bra burning, aggressive females. Not the case. We've come a long way but we have a long way to go yet, which is why it's still so important.
