Iyabe are a trio, formed in Bristol UK. Combining elements of minimalism, noise rock and trip hop, Iyabe's music comes from the unconventional exploration of sound and songwriting.

Why is feminism important to you?

Feminism means a lot to me because misogyny seems to more of a problem now than it ever has been. There seem to be more people that are prepared to berate women and their opinions,achievements and looks than ever before. The fact that there are so few women at the top of media organisations alone speaks volumes. I believe that if the gender balance at the top was equal then society as a whole would benefit. Finally, as long as men are allowed to legislate what women can or can't do with their own bodies (this is with regards to abortion) then society still has a long way to go
